I purchased those tickets in a snap and we counted down the days. Last night we got to see them play and I must say that Radio City Music Hall is the most beautiful venue I’ve ever been too. I felt like a king wherever I went. The bathrooms had a waiting area with couches and chairs, then a phone room and finally the bathrooms. They had silver statues and chandeliers. Once you enter the hall the acoustics are amazing. Here are a few of snaps from the night.

This show happened to be in New York, their home town and where we luckily reside. We managed to score four floor tickets by waiting for over five hours in sub zero temp.

When we got home we realized that this was a pretty big deal because we found out that floor tickets were selling anywhere from $1,000 to $10,000 each on the internet. Instead of cashing in we thought it would be a far better experience to share it with some friends,so we asked the biggest LCD fans we knew and to our surprise they said yes. They pinched their pennies and flew to New York this past weekend and we all got to share one of the coolest concerts and most fun experience in a long time.

On the night of the concert we took the subway to Manhattan and got out underneath Madison Square Garden. We made our way up through many escalators and after about ten minutes of tunnels we were inside the building. When we finally past many, many sections of people from the furthest part of the Venue to the closest area we arrived at “The Pit”. A mere 30 feet from the stage.

The rest is kind of a blur, but now when I listen to LCD Soundsystem it makes me a little bit more excited for a few minutes.

There have been two people working full time in our apartment hold. I’ve been called in to a small design firm for some on site freelance help and have been doing the standard 9-6. They want me back for at least one more week which is awesome!

Here are a few snaps of the office with a pic of my supervisor Ocho. She likes to check up on me every hour or so to see if I’m doing ok and for some reason loves licking knee caps.

The similarities between this place and my last job are interesting, from the same amount of people, down to the gigantic original ipod rotting in an ikea shelf. The music is exactly the same too which is fun. I feel comfortable this week.

We are finally at a place where we are looking for an apartment and will need to start investing in some sitting/sleeping apratus. So far all we have for furniture is a few fold out chairs and a 2 foot by 4 foot table. Half of this table is my office and the other half is the Wife’s office. It’s so small that I straddle one of the legs all the time.

If you take a trip from Manhattan to IKEA you have to take a small ferry. Holy motion sickness.

If you look REALLY close to the middle of the third photo you can see the Statue of Liberty.

When the opening bands were on, Darwin and band mates danced in the audience and watched the show with the rest of us. When they finally took the stage they had silly dance routines, party music and all sorts of fun surprises. For their last song they played Radar Detector and invited half of the audience to come and dance on stage.

Darwin Deez at the Bowery

Darwin Deez at the Bowery

Darwin Deez - Constellations

Darwin Deez - Constellations

ABC Home

Today was errand day but while we were out we noticed this store and had to check it out.
