Neptune
In our search for a new apartment we took a scouting trip to Park Slope Brooklyn as well as Queens. In our LONG day of walking we stopped for a late lunch at Neptune.
The menu front says it all.

The other day we decided to take a trip to search out some potential IKEA furniture. We are finally at a place where we are looking for an apartment and will need to start investing in some sitting/sleeping apratus. So far all we have for furniture is a few fold out chairs and a 2 foot by 4 foot table. Half of this table is my office and the other half is the Wife’s office. It’s so small that I straddle one of the legs all the time.
If you take a trip from Manhattan to IKEA you have to take a small ferry. Holy motion sickness.
If you look REALLY close to the middle of the third photo you can see the Statue of Liberty.

On Saturday we had the opportunity to check out Darwin Deez at the Bowery and I’d like to say that this was one of the best shows I’ve been to in a very long time. When the opening bands were on, Darwin and band mates danced in the audience and watched the show with the rest of us. When they finally took the stage they had silly dance routines, party music and all sorts of fun surprises. For their last song they played Radar Detector and invited half of the audience to come and dance on stage.

Today was errand day but while we were out we noticed this store and had to check it out. Amazing furniture with somewhat affordable prices. My favourite items in this place were animal shaped pillows with a screen print on the front.

A cool, refreshing “Flite”.
Awesome.
A few nights ago, we were walking around Union Square and we found this fun Hot Dog restaurant. They had a menu of healthier fast food. No Nitrates, Preservatives or any other bad stuff.

The other day I realized that some of you might have an interest in seeing what the subway station looks like. People often stand two feet or less from the edge as the Subway Rushes in, it’s pretty scary fast. Every now and then you see a rat scurry through the rails. There are often Buskers and at Union Square especially you hear drums almost all the time.

On Sunday we made our way to the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week event. This is located a few blocks west of Central Park. There were many celebrity editors from fashion magazines there. I didn’t know any of these fashionistas but Wife was very excited to see these people as they rushed by. I did however recognize Jeanne Beker from Fashion TV. She’s the first blurry vision we snapped who darted by as the doors opened.
